W styczniu 2011 prof. Wacław Marzantowicz (UAM) poprowadzi intensywny kurs (około 15 godzin) "Mini-max invariants of spaces with compact Lie group".
" Abstract: In this lecture we give a survey of denitions and properties of invariants which can be constructed for space X with an actions of compact Lie group and which estimate the
number of critical orbits of a G-invariant function f : X ! R provided X is a manifold. The already known and used in analysis are the Lusternik-Schnirelman G-category, G-genus,
G-capacity, or many types of so called G-indices used in analysis, called the equivariant minimax invariant. The common feature of all of them is the fact that to estimate of the value of each of them an appropriate version of the Borsuk-Ulam theorem is necessary.
A presentation of the corresponding versions of the Borsuk-Ulam theorem, as well as some
prospects and questions arisen from problems of non-linear analysis is also assumed.
