doktorantow w ramach SSDNM (ponizej krotkie streszczenie).
Geometric theory of discretized ordinary differential equations.
(Numerical dynamics)
Reconsidering several chapters of the the Humphrey-Stuart 1996 monograph
on the borderlione between numerics and dynamics (invariant manifolds,
attractors, domains of asymptotic stability), then aspects of the natural
extension of structural stability theory to discretizations (Ming/Chia
Li, 1998). This makes up two--third of the course.
Extensions: 1.) Multivalued dynamics as a tool of computer-assisted proofs
via interval arithmetics (recent results with Colombo and Feckan
included). 2.) Remarks on the numerical maximum principle for
finite element solutions of elliptic and parabolic partial equations (also
nonlinear, according to the recent papers of Korotov et al.) This makes up
one-third of the course.
